The Key to Colors...
These photos will most likely have a permanent spot in your home, so it’s important that you think of what you want your overall vibe to be.
Think complimentary, not matchy-matchy.
You want looks that flow but that aren’t exact copies of each other.
Lean towards natural, earthy, rich tones, and away from from harsh, neon colors. Especially in the right light, these neon colors can bounce color onto others as well as onto skin or faces.
We suggest sticking with neutral tones. There are neutral tones for just about any color that you can think of. Neutral tones are the most flattering in final images.
Earthy
Think of mustard yellow, forest green, rust orange, rust pink, etc...
Dusty
Think of dusty/pastel colors such as rose, mauve, dusty blue, yellow, etc...
Patterns
We suggest keeping your patterns minimal.
The more subtle, the better! If the patterns are too loud or if there are too many larger patterns, it will distract from your smiling faces.
Keep in mind what environment we’ll be shooting in. For example, don’t wear plaids or lines in front of bricks, or floral patterns in a flower field. You want to stand out, not blend in with your backdrop!
Material
Make sure that the material you wear will keep you comfortable during the session.
Think about movement. You will be moving during our time together.
You want to wear clothing or accessories that can show movement by catching wind; as they will add energy to the photos and look gorgeous!
Thanks for reading along and stay tuned for outfit inspo for specific seasons!
